Back from the ashes… well… sort of anyways.

This last weekend witnessed the end of our prior site that was running on a Joomla Content Management System. What happened is kinda irrelevant, only because I can’t undo it and I’ve been dwelling on so much crap lately that I can’t stomach figuring this one out. Thus began a quest to find a straight up blogging client that gives us exactly what we had before, only prettier and much easier to use.
You’ll notice the site will be stripped down to it’s barest essentials, containing ONLY a blog for just Melinda and myself. No fuss no muss, and much less chance for myself or Mel (mostly myself) to make a crushing mistake, that craters our site, all of our work, and all of our time.
For the techies out there, we’re running on Word Press, and so far it’s fitting the bill perfectly. If you are stumbling upon the site while this post is up at the top, then you are looking at it in a VERY transitional state. It’ll be changed, tweaked and polished before it’s considered finished, then you’ll only see blog entries and the occasional page addition.
Like I said, we were looking for something simple yet elegant. This definitely fit the bill. I apologize for the downtime. Ultimately it was my fault (though I’m not entirely sure to be honest). But the site is back and we’re trying to pick up the pieces.
Please keep on coming back. It should be a new experience, but the same old tadandmel!
