Whew… I can’t believe it’s Sunday already!!

Well, as you can see, our construction journal didn’t really pan out this week. Mostly because we bit off a little more than we could chew and the fact that we worked our butts off everyday, into the night, causing us to collapse from shear exhaustion.
Don’t fret though, we did take TON of pictures and we will create a page on the whole ordeal when it’s completed.
So what did we get accomplished? Well, the master bedroom is complete and it really looks awesome! The upper half of the walls in the dining room and living room have two coats of paint of them and we got all the chair rail molding up and nailed on.
And last, but not least, we got the laminate flooring completed in the living room and foyer. Looking at it up on the screen, it doesn’t seem like a lot. But trust me, it was.
What does that leave? The kitchen needs to be floored and painted. The master bath needs to be floored and painted . The hallway outside out bedroom needs to be floored and painted and the chair rail and lower half of the walls all downstairs need to be painted twice.
So, we got a lot done, but there’s a ton left to do. The good news is that these rooms are much smaller than the rooms we tackled this week.
All in all we learned a lot and though it wasn’t much of a vacation in the “rest” category, we spent every minute together which is priceless. Once everything is done, we’ll have a gorgeous house that’ll look more like “Tad and Mel” than ever before!
So we’ll be chipping away at the rest during the weekends and nights over the next few months and when all is done we’ll post up pics.
As for today, we’re taking the bulk of it off and just enjoying the awesome weather! Hopefully you are too where ever you are!
