Mom and Dad’s Anniversary and the Avett Brothers Pics and Vids uploaded

Mom and Dad’s 40th anniversary is this week and since they are heading to paradise to celebrate 40 years of marital bliss, WE all celebrated their life together this last weekend! It was a wonderful gathering! Tess offered up her house and helped supply food, Mel and I supplied more food and beverages and Tuck flew out all the way from Colorado! Almost all of us were there, except Tim, Martha, and their daughter, precious Annabelle (you guys were totally missed!). Some of Tessa’s friends showed up as well as some of Mom and Dad’s new friends that they made since they moved down here.
It was good friends, good food, good spirits, and all and all, an awesome time!
Then, later that evening, we all piled into cars and headed out to the Raleigh Museum of Art to see an outdoor concert thrown by NC’s own Avett Brothers! Mel and I have really fallen in love with these boys over the last year and we can’t recommend them enough! Think bluegrass with a dash of punk and you might get an idea of how these guys are on stage. They played a short set but what they played was awesome as always!
What a day it was! We were sad to see it end, but so fortunate to see it start!
Congrats Mom and Dad on a wonderful life together! Here’s to many more years to come!
