Tad and Mel Get Down With the Sickness…

Ok, so life’s a little topsy turvy lately. First off, Mel and I have been super sick 
. Just nasty colds mind you, but holy crap, are they just hanging on! I’m still hacking up yuckiness that I won’t got into describing right now.
So, yeah, this definitely hampers the old writing process for both of us. But I’m feeling up for a little blogging before I log two hours in for a project I’m trying to finish up before year’s end. So here goes.
Despite illness we’ve been pretty busy. We’re making major headway in finishing up the floors (FINALLY) and once those are done we’re going to finish painting. Though the painting won’t happen until after the holidays. Who knows, maybe we’ll get that ambitious and finish before then. I don’t know.
Mel’s recent pattern that she had published for sale on Gryphon’s site has sold pretty well! We made a cool 10 spot last week, which, as I always like to point out to her, is a wonderful night out the Galaxy (a local independent movie house we love to got to)!! She/we are tickled pink about the interest in her stuff and to actually see a trickle of cash flow come in, is pretty neat to say the least!
Let’s see… what else?
I’ve been writing up a storm lately, which has been taking me away from my blogs, but trust me, it’s all for a good cause. I’m hoping to have some big announcements to make come January 1st. I’m working pretty hard to make it happen. We’ll have to see.
On the kids front…
We took Mathias in to a new vet that came highly recommended from one of Mel’s knitting guild members. She was great, though it’s hard to tell with only one visit. She had a great bedside manner for our continuously ailing boy and she already had us looking at different tactics to combat his condition in the “southern hemisphere”. We’re hoping she can fix him, but at this point, who knows! Wouldn’t it be wonderful if she did though?

Either way, I’ll probably stop updates on him on this blog, because every time I say something, his condition seems to nose dive. So rather than jinx it, I’m going to shut my yapper.
Speaking of jinxes that go in your favor! Remember how I was lamenting about the cold down here a few posts ago? Well, the weather down here for the last few days has been unreal! Hi 70’s today and tomorrow and then we’re topping out in the low 80’s on Wednesday!
Did I mention it was December? Yeah, I know, you hate me 
.
Don’t worry though, I’m sure that cold front a few hours north, will come crushing in later this week. No worries on that one. They always seems to.
For now though, we’re loving the warmth, taking in the last bit of leaves that are falling slowly to the ground and preparing for the remainder of the holidays, which, with a little luck, won’t be as hectic as they typically are.
