Hey, hey, hey! We made it!

Not much new on our end. The dog bite is healing up nicely which I’m grateful for. It could’ve gone south so easily and I’m really glad that it didn’t. Still hurts like a bastard when I bump it though. 
What else? Oh yeah, we’re finally growing enough greens that we can’t keep up cooking-wise, so I was super psyched to share some of our abundant collards and kale with a co-worker this week. I was surprised at how good it felt seeing something growing from our seeds feeding someone else. Definitely bad ass! 
I also had a good week writing-wise and made it to the library a few times this week. I really hope this becomes a habit as it’s been quite good for me! That first draft of our (me and friend’s) screenplay really is coming to a close. We’ll have to have quite the celebration when we finish it!
Mel’s still pecking away at her redesign of her Summer Sky pattern as well as other diversions. I’m sure you’ll see more news on that at her site.
And to leave you with some happiness to ring the weekend in, I thought I would give you all a glimpse at my niece being all that she can be: fricking adorable! These were taken during a Skype session with her. I can’t tell you how grateful I am that I have SOME way to keep up with her while she’s so far away. I miss her and her parents dearly.
