Spring = Freshy Newness!

Hey All!

I know updates to the site have been woefully inadequate as of late.  This mostly has had to do with life in general but also because the Tad half of tadandmel.com has been busy renovating his section of the house!

Behold! thaddeushunt.com !!!

Admittedly, it took me longer than I expected.  But I feel really good about the results and I really love the simplicity of the design.  I hope you do too!  Please stop by and checkity check it!  Leave comments and suggestions please!

I have grandiose plans of redesigning tadandmel.com as well.  Let’s just say I got the bug, so to speak.

ALSO!  I don’t want to speak to soon, but Mel and I may have come up with a kick ass idea for a re-imagining of T&M as well!  So stay tuned!  This site may become a little more multimedia driven in the hopefully near future!

What else?  Oh yeah!

We saw Ani Difranco last month (read: best show yet!), as well as the Full Frame Festival this weekend at the Carolina Theatre in Durham.   It was our first time visiting Full Frame this year and I gotta admit, I’m ashamed we haven’t gone in years past.  It was an incredible gathering and a really wonderful display of the art scene in Durham that’s really been trying to make a come back in the last few years.  Now, if only Nevermore could garner 100′s of adoring fans. ;)

I’ve jumped on the TASL soccer league for my second season this year and I’m LOVING it!  Aside from a few bumps and bruises, I’ve been really digging kicking the soccer ball around again!  Big thanks to my friend John for talking me into trying it out.  I probably never would have if it wasn’t for him!

Mel continues to ride high off of her recent publication in Interweave Knits and is actively conjuring up her next opus for (hopeful) publication for the masses!  It’s so wonderfully weird having your best friend published in a magazine that can be bought off of new stands around the world!  I’m so so so proud of her!

Lastly, it’s spring so naturally the garden will start sneaking back into our posts!  I’m getting ready to build what will most likely be the last stage of our garden bed system in the back yard.  We only get so much sunlight back there so, though we’ve got a good amount of space back there, we can’t use it all because most of it’s shaded by wonderful trees!  So the last of our sunlit space will be taken up by few more beds this spring and that’ll be it!  I’ll have a full write up on that when I build them and I’m hoping for a good video how-to as well for those that are curious about building their own veggie beds!

That’s about it!  We’re so stoked that spring is here!  I fired up the electric mower this morning in fact to mow the lawn/weeds.  It felt good!

Ask me same question though 2 months from now when it’s 20 degrees warmer…:???:
