Kickin' it OG style at the Holiday Inn... You just can’t stop the power of the interwebs….

Hey all! Had a little time in the hotel so I thought I’d drop you all a line. We’re currently staying in a Holiday Inn in Pennsylvania in the town Breinigsville. It’s just outside Allentown where we’ll be seeing one of Mel’s cousins getting married! Pretty exciting stuff! It’s been fun watching the Chase clan hang out. It rarely happens now that they’re spread all over the place. We’ve got folks from Georgia, NC, Seattle, New Hampshire, quite a spread! All really great people, lotsa smiles and a whole lot of sarcasm. All in good fun of course ;) .

It’s always great to see good people celebrating the start of a life together! Though, seeing all of the stress and worries that go into such an event, brings me way back to when Mel and I tied the knot. It was a wonderful day for sure, but there was definitely some hairy moments that we just let go and said “Oh well…” to. Had we had the chance to do it all over again, we probably would’ve eloped. LOL! :D

The trip up went well until we got mired in rush hour traffic as we were trying to escape the Richmond/DC area. We lost a couple of hours there I think, but, all told, we made it up here in roughly 8 hours on one tank of gas (that’s an over 500 mile tank, logging 52.1 mpg). Go Go PRIUS!! :) Penn. is actually a surprisingly pretty drive once you get off of the interstate.

And, in typical Tad and Mel fashion, we’re missing the first tropical storm of the year. At least it wasn’t a hurricane like years past. For some reason, Melinda and I are always out of town whenever big storms come through. It’s weird. Don’t worry though, we get to drive in it all the way home tomorrow… whoopee! :(

We’ll add more after we get home tomorrow! Just thought it’d be cool to do a post “on location”.

Hope you guys are well!

Love,

Tad
