Had to put a long sleeve on this morning!
Hey folks,
Well, it feels like fall.
Mel and I got up, spent some time with the dogs and found out we had no more coffee so we went outside to fire up the grill to roast some more when I felt something I hadn’t felt in what seems like forever: It was too cold for my t-shirt so I had to grab a long sleeve! WOOHOO! :D
Our favorite time of the year is finally here! Or nearly here at any rate.
Time to drag those sweaters out, put the shorts away, drink more hot beverages and get ready to dust off those winter coats and hats.
Summer is nice but man was this one was a doozy. I’m definitely happy to see it go. Not much to report on. I spent a good amount of this weekend working on outfitting the network around the house. I set up a 160gig hard drive to be a central repository for all of our music and pictures. We also got to hang out with my Dad and help him out at the Million Meals charity event that the Rotary club he’s a member of, throws every year in Wake Forest. Very cool event. Hundreds showed up and our shift alone put together 40,000 meals! They’ll be shipped to impoverished areas around the world where a meal is hard to come by. After the event we chilled out at Mom and Dad’s place, had a great meal outside and just enjoyed each other’s company for a bit.
Pretty darn perfect if you ask me!
Hope yours was the same!
All the best,
Tad
