To do lists, by in large, kinda suck.

We haven’t got them down perfect just yet. We’ll set up all this stuff that truly needs to get done, bust our asses to get it done, only to look at our list at the end of the day and see that one twelfth of our ambitions came to any sort of conclusion.

But, sometimes, a weekend comes around where everything clicks. This was one of those weekends. I got up early Saturday morning with the dogs letting Mel sleep in (which I should do a lot more really… ‘nother to do…) and I started to make my list. At first I only had 5 things in my head, but then those things had some mad orgy and gave birth to many, MANY, more things and before I knew it, 5 became 20.

Yikes!

I could’ve deleted a few, but everything I put down really needed to occur either this weekend or next week, so, despite my best judgement, they stayed in. What followed was a crazy enduro weekend where most everything got done and what didn’t get done, could definitely get taken care of next week. Success? Yes it was!

We even got some R & R too! We went and caught “Juno” at the Galaxy Saturday evening, after we had a short Borders session. What a gem of a movie! Please go and see it! I’m hoping to have a review up for it (along with No Country for Old Men) this week, but don’t wait for it, just go and see it. You won’t be sorry. It’s got all the good stuff: excellent writing, great music, perfect acting, laughs, tears, all while tackling some pretty heavy stuff. We loved it! It was the perfect date after busting our humps for the last 8 hours.

Now the house seems less bloated, the Prius is running smoother, alot of our old stuff is getting reused by others, we got some new music, we saw a great movie, and we slept in everyday.

Hells yeah!

If only all the weekends could be like this!
