“DIY Adventures” Gets a Second Chapter and The Attic Gets Organized…
Hey all,
Just a quick update. As you can see from the post below this one, I decided to add to our DIY section which was sorely missing a second chapter. I was REALLY itching to do some video for this (ala Mel’s recent tutorials) but just couldn’t find the time. Anyways, it was a lot of fun and I encourage you to check it out. Click here to find out how to resuscitate a pair of slippers from the brink….
Another good thing that came out of this weekend was that I finally got the attic organized and ready so that we can finish the loft in March when Mel’s Dad comes down to help. We’re really excited about this, as it is a major step for us finishing our home up in suburbia and moving on to a more remote locale. It will also make living here for the next few years that much more bearable.
I know that sounds harsh, but trust me, it isn’t. Our home rocks!! It’s served us well, but it’s just not where we want to be down the road. After the loft is finished we’ll need to complete the screened in porch out back and then the garage… so don’t worry, we’re not going anywhere any time soon. ;)
On a more sad and completely unrelated note, please send good vibes to our furry son Mathias. He isn’t doing very well at all right now. Just when we fixed his gastro-intestinal problems, he has had some serious issues with his back legs and an alarming amount of weight loss (even though we’re feeding him like a horse).
We don’t know what the future holds in the coming days/weeks so please think happy thoughts for him! He’s been a great dog/friend and we need all the folks pulling for him that we can!
That’s all! Hope everyone’s well!
