Life, the Little Man, and new beginnings
Sometimes when life throws you little curveballs, you have to hang in there and remember what it took to get through the bigger disasters, and be really, really thankful when things get better. The last year with the little man has been pretty challenging with all of his health issues - but just when we thought we’d got it sorted, he took a pretty bad downturn. The steps that we’ve taken to solve his GI issues have apparently caused some other, more serious problems - weight loss, muscle wasting, lethargy & weakness (among other things). We’ve had a topsy-turvy time with him over the last two weeks, but thankfully he has improved quite a bit these last few days and we’re feeling much more hopeful. Here he is looking pitiful in the boots we got him to give him some stability on the hard floors:
He went for a short walk today - the first real one he’s had in a couple of weeks. He’s such a special boy and we’re so thankful. We want to do right by him and make him well if we can (and not put him through hell to do it), so it’s been good for our hearts to see him doing better.
Then the mail came, and with it, the start of our garden plans for this year!
Guess what we’ll be doing tomorrow?
I hope your weekend has been equally as promising!

I’m so glad the beastie is feeling better…I’ve been thinking of him and sending good thoughts your way often. Give him and your Sweeter big snuggles from all of us.
(btw, we miss you guys and I’ll try to send a real update to y’all soon!)

Hi Guys,
Sorry to hear that Little Man has been having such a hard time recently… Hopefully he is now getting back towards much better health.
On a lighter note
While we were both in FL we saw a great movie called Cloverfield…Think that you both (esp. Tad) will love it. Interested to see what your thought are.
As always all four of you are in our thoughts!
Take Care

Poor little buddy. He must have been so happy to finally go for a walk.
Have you seen dooce.com got a new puppy and has some great photos of the guy- I *think* he’s the same type of dog?

Sorry to hear about your doggie… those boots are pretty cool! I’m glad he was able to go for a walk at least. My Delilah (angora bun) is still hanging in there, but she’s horribly thin and still gets infected sores on her feet. It’s hard. I’m looking into homepathy for her next.
