Slight site changes! Dog Bites Man! Man = Tad! This all = stress! Which then equals…
Ok, so I’m being dramatic. Not about the dog attack, that really happened, but about the seemingly insurmountable stress. Sure it’s been a nutty week but, if you can believe it, we’ve witnessed much worse in our time. Those of you who have tuned in with us from the beginning can probably guess what I’m referring to. So I guess the point I’m trying to make is, that if you can see beyond the immediate and journey beyond it, you’ll always see the big picture, and that picture is often pretty damn beautiful.
‘Nuff said.
The slight changes? I’ve gotten pretty tired of the uber busy side navs of both tadandmel.com and my page. So I’m in the process of trimming them up and making them shorter. If something’s missing, check the nav at the top, if you can’t find what you are looking for there, please shoot me an email or leave a comment below. I’d be happy to try and get it back.
On a somewhat similar note. As many of you know (about as many of you who don’t I’d imagine
), I work in web development and aside from web hosting and supplying domain names to our client, I work on a ton of look and feel elements that are often “browser dependent”. And by that I mean that web coding looks different in different browsers sometimes (particularly older, out of date ones like IE 6.x) and I often spend a good bit of time at work battling these little demons and whipping them into shape, making all of the sites I build look the same, no matter what browser you are using.
That said, I have a few open source favorites that I typically develop in, and by proxy the sites that I develop often look better in these browsers. So I thought it might be helpful to point out one that recently got updated that I am particularly partial to. It’s name is Firefox and if you haven’t tried it out yet, you totally owe it to yourself give it a shot. The current version, Firefox 3 (not to mention previous version as well), is completely superior to any IE (Microsoft Internet Explorer, old or recent), it’s open source, and it attains all current web standards which is something I don’t expect all to understand, but to maybe appreciate. As the web changes, which it is doing rapidly now, so should your browser! Firefox does this all, and does it well. About the only browser that does it better, albeit with much less flair and utility is Apple’s own Safari browser.
To download Firefox3, look no farther than here!

I guess that’s enough “geekout” and drama for you all for one night!![]()
It’s Friday! Please enjoy it! I think it’s safe to say we’ve all earned it!
All the best and thanks for stopping by!
